The Mind represents neurons, the interconnected cells that makeup the brain and nervous system. Afterglow recognizes that the mindis just as much part of our bodiesas our muscles are. When client’s minds are at ease, their muscles fully relax, allowing for the full therapeutic power of a bodywork session.

Containing the Mind, the Body is inspired by fascia - the connective tissue that gives form and function to every part of the body. Because tightness in the fascia can cause stiffness and pain, one of the main goals of bodywork is softening and releasing this complex structure.

The Spirit represents the state of euphoria clients experience after an Afterglow bodywork session. The Spirit is grounded and peaceful, the Body is eased from pain and tension, and the Mind is calm. With twelve points to represent the twelve systems of the body, it also represents a sense of wholeness.
